Muscling In: Gerber
At the opening of his star-studded sculptural extravaganza, Body Tumble, Gerber stated that his first solo exhibition would also be his last. Though wooed by all of the top dealers, Gerber has decided to take some time off from the art world and return to his former passion—modeling rugged sportswear. Declaring that he "missed his time on the runway," Gerber expects to spend the summer writing his memoirs about his unprecedented two-week-long art world rise to fame.
He has contracted with Mannheim to debut their new line "Hunk" at Fashion Week Milan.
Unwilling to completely sever his art world ties, Gerber has promised his gallerist, Frilda Wusper, a sneak Chelsea preview of this spectacular. He'll also be making a limited edition of lifesize photographic portraits available.
Sounds like another exhibition is in the making to me! Collectors are already vying for his signature poses: "Wow Me!", the shoulder glance while squatting, and a double forearm flex edition of "Strut."
How divine....
